Plot Twist Season 3 Poster

So, in case you didn't know, I'm going to be starting Season 3 of Plot Twist this Friday, November 7, unless something were to happen to make me have to upload it late. My week has been kind of crazy, so hopefully I'll be able to upload it on Friday, and I'll try my absolute hardest to, but.... Yeah!
I really don't want to get started on my homework yet, so I'm going to talk about some random stuff now! I kind of want to tell my best friend about my YouTube channel, but at the same time, I would be completely terrified to. Maybe I could just tell her about my series and pretend it's not mine, and say I just really like the story or something. I'm going to get a little off topic, but last year, a couple of the popular girls in my school were talking about (of all things) A DOLL SERIES! It was a barbie series, but still! I was like "Whaaaa???" and almost considered telling them about my channel, but decided against it, considering one, the series they were talking about seems to have a lot of... Adult content for a series starring Barbie dolls, so they probably would think I was weird for having a channel devoted to American Girl Dolls, and two, if they did end up finding my channel and liking it, I would have to majorly sensor some of my rants I have down in the description when I have a bad day, and sometimes ranting helps me clear my mind.
Anyways, about my friend. I feel like if she did know about my channel and thought it was cool, it would be a really neat thing, and since she's my best friend I kind of feel like I should tell her about having over 800 subscribers on YouTube. But I don't know if she would think it's cool or think I'm lame or even weirder than she already knows I am, because as my best friend, she kinda has to have figured out that I'm a little more than somewhat insane. But when I was asking her what I should be for Halloween about a month ago, and I mentioned being Annabelle, she said please no, because dolls creep her out, especially dolls like Annabelle. I mean, my dolls definitely aren't like Annabelle, but she might think that my videos are creepy (especially if she watched one of my stop motions I stopped making because they take too much work and they never really come out that good). But I mean, she's my best friend. Shouldn't she be supportive of me regardless of what I do in my free time? But at the same time, I don't want to risk losing my best friend.... Na, I'll just keep it to myself.

Plot Twist Names

Hello, dolls!
Today I have decided to tell you all a little about how I chose the names for a couple of the characters in my series. The most interesting ones I have are the male names; Michael and Miles. The female names are pretty irrelevant, and I could have just as easily given them any other names. But Michael and Miles actually have a legitimate story behind their names.
I chose the name Michael for Gwen's deceased father as a very minor hidden reference to the book Because of Mr. Terupt by Rob Buyea. SPOILER ALERT: Michael is the name of one the characters in that book, Jeffery's older brother who died of cancer (I think it was cancer. It's been a while since I've read the book. But it was definitely something like that). After Michael's death, Jeffery's home life falls apart, Jeffery now hates life and school, and he is traumatized by the death that he somehow feels responsible for. Sound vaguely familiar? Because of Mr. Terupt was a huge inspiration for Plot Twist.
The name Miles is a little less symbolic, but it still has a little bit of a story. I gave Miles his name for several reasons.
1) It started with M, and I wanted to kind of show that Miles might be Gwen's own Michael, since Michael and Jennifer were the perfect match, but that scares Gwen since she doesn't want to lose anyone else.
2) I like the name Miles. I don't know why, I just do.
3) Miles Finch from Elf. Need I say more?
4) Miles from The Candymakers by Wendy Mass. He's trying to forget a tragic accident he witnessed in that book, and since I was going to have some very sad scenes in Plot Twist, why not?
5) Miles from My Fair Godmother by Janette Rallison.
All of this adding up I feel meant that Miles was a great name for my character. Plus, naming him off of characters from books when he loves to read (and an author from one of my favorite movies of all time)?
So anyways, thank you for taking your time to read all of that, and have a nice day! :)

Anything but Ordinary is now Anything but Evil

After a long year of people commenting rude things about the title of my first series, Anything but Ordinary, I have finally decided to change it to Anything but Evil. I know I kind of did change it when I made the second season, by entitling it the title both seasons now bear, but I decided I might as well make both seasons Anything but Evil. Honestly, when I made the series, I did not do that much planning before hand. The names were very unoriginal, (about half of the characters had first OR last names taken from class mates), I didn't use a script, most of the adults have a terribly fake Russian sounding accent for some unknown reason, and I didn't even bother to make sure the title was not already taken. Consequently, the series was not very good, and the title was already taken by another person making doll videos, and it's also a book about a diver who suffers an accident that puts her in a coma.
It's still the same series, just a new title. I know the series is still not that great, but I really have improved for my new series, I promise. My character names were not taken from classmates, I use a script, I don't use any terrible accents, and I made sure no one else has the same title.
So anyways, have a nice day! :)

Filming Complications; A Stressful Story

This week has been ugly, and today it was finally sunny! So here's the tale of what happened.
The summers here are hot and rainy, by the way. I don't know how it is elsewhere.
This week I have been volunteering at my church for VBS (Vacation Bible School), so I've had less time to film, and it's during most of the sunny hours of the days that this goes on. So when I get home, it's not raining for the first time this week! So I grab my dolls and my camera and head outside to film a scene of Plot Twist. So I find a great place I want to film one of the scenes, so I set it up and get everything perfect, I put up decorations, everything's perfect. But then, I realize, I'm sitting right next to dog poop! So I have to get rid of that, and now I'm good to go! Let's start filming! Apparently I wasn't the only one who had to wait for the weather to improve, because the second I turn on the camera, my annoying neighbor who has ruined countless videos with their yappy dog turns on his REALLY LOUD lawnmower. WHAT THE HECK????!!!!! So finally I can't hear it as much anymore. So I start filming. All is well, until the wind moves in, blowing Skylar's hair, and knocking her over, causing leaves to get tangled in her hair. So I perfect her hair, and continue filming. All is well, until the last clip.
I am like "Almost done! Woo who!" at this point. Then Skylar falls. Dang it! Five extra minutes fixing her hair and putting her back in position. Then I finally get the clip, when the worst disaster you could possibly imagine with dolls and video cameras happens; It starts raining. I brought out ALL OF MY DOLLS (except Felicity and Kaya) for this scene. So I'm just grabbing them and the camera randomly and practically THROWING them inside (not literally, that would probably do worse damage). I am freaking out. If you get either the camera or the dolls wet, they're pretty much ruined! And when I started filming, it didn't even look like it was going to rain. I managed to get them all in in time, but WHOO. That was stressful.
Anyways, I did end up getting the scene filmed, and it looks pretty cool in my opinion. Thank you for reading my rant/ story about filming that I'm sure at least some of you understand. Have a nice day! :D

Hunger Games Contest Canceled

So last summer I attempted to create a Hunger Games contest. I eventually drew the names of the contestants after about several months after opening it, and the next week I planned to make the first video. The prizes were kind of lame, but a lot of people were still excited for it. But I became really busy, and eventually, summer ended. So if you were one of the people I drew the name of, I sincerely apologize to you. I will not ever make another raffle-type contest again.

The thing about me:
I am a dreamer. This is a good thing, but a lot of times, my plans are way over my head. Others could easily pull off my ideas, including the contest. If I ever make another contest (highly doubtful, considering the failure that was the Hunger Games contest), I will make it VERY different.

Mistakes I made in the Hunger Games contest that I will not do again:

  1. Making it a raffle.
  2. Lame prizes (actually, if I were to ever do another contest, I couldn't really change this.)
  3. The amount of people. I planned to make one or two people eliminated each week during the HG contest, but that was a time commitment I was unable to make.
  4. Doing it by myself. Under the rare circumstance I ever do another contest, I would want another judge.
  5. Making such a big deal about it.
So, anyways. I am so sorry to anyone who was excited about the Hunger Games contest, and if you would like any of the posters that would have been the prize, feel free to print any of the posters from the previous post.
Thank you!

But here some of the posters I offered as a prize, and also some others that I have made since then. Anyone can print them if you want to. I am so sorry for those of you who really wanted the Hunger Games contest, but I discovered that I am too busy to do contests and the like.
